Shenzhen Energy has been actively developing wind power, photovoltaic, hydropower and other renewable energy projects across China. As of the end of 2016, the installed capacity of the Group has reached 467 MW, 436 MW and 725 MW for wind power, photovoltaic power and hydropower respectively.
In 2010, the Group’s first wind power project came into operation, followed by its initial presence in photovoltaic power generation segment in 2012 and hydropower generation segment in 2014. The Group acquired 100% shares of China Hydroelectric Corporation and all hydropower projects under its operation in 2015, thus becoming the third largest operator of small-and-medium-scale hydropower plants in China.
The renewable energy sources of Shenzhen Energy are located in geographic advantageously areas: the hydropower projects are mainly distributed in Zhejiang, Fujian, Sichuan and Yunnan Provinces, the wind power projects in Inner Mongolia and Eastern China, while the photovoltaic power projects in Eastern China and Inner Mongolia.
